The Venue: Cardiff City Hall, South Wales (ceremony) Holiday Inn Cardiff City Centre (reception)
The Happy Couple: Abigail and Mathew
Abigail and Mathew's September wedding day was blessed with absolutely wonderful weather, the perfect early September's day! I think they just brought the good weather with them whenever I met them leading up to the wedding as it was a beautifully crisp winter morning when I first met them earlier in the year and the perfect summer's day when we had our July pre-wedding photoshoot! The wedding day started at the Holiday Inn hotel opposite Cardiff Castle with bridal preparations. Abigail was glowing; so much laughter and fun alongwith a few glasses of vino surrounded by her mum, aunt, sister and the amazing makeup artist and hairdresser hard at work.
After bridal prep we headed off to Cardiff City Hall to find that Mathew had just arrived with his family. It really was a gorgeous sunny day! Abigail arrived in a grand white Rolls Royce with her grandfather. They were there in good time, which was great as this allowed a little extra time for the wedding guests to enjoy the sunshine and mingle! Following the beautiful and slightly emotional ceremony inside the St. David's Suite within Cardiff City Hall, it was time for the group photos of the friends and family outside of the grand venue. Then came a lovely walk around Alexandra Gardens, just behind City Hall for the romantic couple portraits.
The reception was held back at Holiday Inn, in the lovely Callaghan's Bar on the ground floor. Abigal and Mathew had gone to a lot of effort the day before the wedding to decorate the reception venue adding their personal touches. From the sweet cart to the pillar with photos from each stage of their relationship, it all looked so cute! Very emotional speeches by Mathew and also a few lovely words by Abigail's mum before cutting the wedding cake. They and their guests laughed and danced the night away. Such a beautiful day!
It was such a brilliant and emotional day all the way through and I loved every minute! Thank you so much Abigail and Mathew for having me along, I truly had a blast capturing your amazing day.
