As soon as I finished editing my summer and autumn weddings and delivered the prints, it was time for the clocks to go back. Yes, dark nights were setting in and with that an awful lot of cold, wet dreary weather to look forward to! Autumn is my favourite season and each year, as soon as my wedding committments are over I get involved with a number of bridal and wedding inspiration themed photoshoots. These styleshoots keep me in the wedding mindset and they are also a fantastic opportunity to try out ideas, techniques and finetune my soft, romantic style of wedding photography.
For this particular bridal inspiration styleshoot, my lovely model was Sian, who herself got married in Cardiff Castle just a few years ago, so she was perfectly familiar with my theme and what I was trying to achieve. General outfit related styling, hair and makeup was by Sian herself and I personally carried out any additional styling to create the floral looks. Our setting was Alexandra Gardens, just behind Cardiff City Hall and one of the most polular wedding venues in South Wales. It just happens to be that I have had the privilege of photographing many weddings at this venue over the years. Sian's boho bride themed outfit was from New Look and I had personally sourced the flowercrown from Primark a couple of years ago for a Made In Roath festival art exhibition in which I was chosen to exhibit a number of my photos.
I hope you like these photos and if you are planning your wedding in Cardiff and South Wales, and like my uniquely colourful floral style of wedding photography, please drop me a line.
